The Dalles Weekly Reminder, April 5, 1984
Astird N. Ronthi, 71, a resident of The Dalles for the last nine years, died 
at her home March 27.

She was born May 2, 1912 in Vadsof, Norway, and immigrated to the United 
States in 1947.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a son, Walter A. Ronthi, Keego Harbor, Mich., and a 
daughter, Sally E. Boismier, Bay City, Ore.; eight grandchildren and nine 
great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was March 30 at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Delmar 
Anderson officiating.  Casket bearers were, Bill, Jason and Erik Boismier, 
Duane Thielke, Virgil Ellett and George Specht.  Wilburt Nelson served as 
honorary pallbearer.

Burial will be at Pontiac, Mich.

Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
