The Dalles Weekly Reminder, May 15, 1987
Dean E. Roderick, 18, died April 11 in a boating accident on the Columbia 
River.  He was a resident of The Dalles.

He was born October 19, 1968, in The Dalles.  He was a 1986 graduate of 
Wahtonka High School.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Roderick of The Dalles; a 
brother, Jon Roderick; a sister, Julie Roderick; maternal grandparents, 
Kenneth and Alma Moffat of The Dalles; paternal grandparents, Dean and Tillie 
Roderick of Rock Springs, Wyoming; a grandmother, Betty Roderick of Tigard, 
Oregon; five aunts and two uncles.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 16, at 10 a.m. at Park Lawn 
Gardens Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Dean Roderick/Rick Jackson Memorial Fund in 
care of District 9 superintendent's office.  Smith Callaway Chapel is in 
charge of arrangements.
