The Dalles Chronicle, September 21, 2006
     Larry Arnold Robertson, 60, formerly of The Dalles, died in Las Vegas on 
Sept. 10, 2006, after a long battle with cancer.

     He was born in Portland on March 8, 1946. 

     After attending school in The Dalles he enlisted in the United States 
Marine Corps in 1964, and served three tours of duty in Vietnam. He achieved 
the rank of Gunnery Sargeant USMC.

     After his retirement from the military in 1986 he pursued a second career 
in aviation and became an accomplished pilot.

     He is survived by his wife, Josie, of Las Vegas; daughter, Chira Faye, 
Marina Del Ray, Calif.; brother, Dan, Cottonwood, Calif.; aunt, Lee 
Wagonblast, Lexington; and uncle Cork McCloud, Vancouver, Wash.
He will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D. C.
