Surnames: Roberts, Huskey, Hanks, Hough, Webb, Lee Gladys Jessie Roberts, 81, a resident of Grants Pass (Oregon), died in Roseburg (Oregon) on March 18, 2003. She was born April 3, 1921 in Portland. She married Walt Huskey in 1939. He preceded her in death in 1949. During World War II she worked in the ship yards in Portland as a welder. In 1951 she married Wes "Gene" Roberts and they later divorced. She moved to Grants Pass from Aloha (Oregon) in 1969. She was a member of the Federation of China Painters and enjoyed gardening and china painting. Survivors include two daughters, Carol Hanks, West Cliffe, Colorado and Bonnie Hough, Bend (Oregon); two sons, Wesley Roberts, Grants Pass, and John "Ed" Huskey, Medford (Oregon); her brother, Walter Webb, San Clemente, California; her sister, Hazel Lee, Portland; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert "Bobby" Huskey in 1953 and her granddaughter, Penny Huskey, in 1995. Funeral services will be at noon on Saturday, March 22, at Mosier First Christian Church, Third and Washington with Pastor Brad Jeffries officiating. Interment will follow at Mosier Cemetery.
