The Dalles Weekly Reminder, May 3, 1984
     Wayne G. Rhue, 71, died at his home in Dallesport April 27.  He had 
previously resided in Wishram.

     He was born July 29, 1912 in Madera, Calif.

     Mr. Rhue had worked as an engineer for Burlington Northern Railroad until 
his retirement in January of 1975.

     He was an Army veteran and was a member of BPOE No. 18863 in White 
Salmon, Wash., The Dalles Eagles Lodge and the Brotherhood of Locomotive 
Engineers.

     Survivors include his wife, Elnora, in Dallesport; two daughters, 
Lorraine Adamson, Dallesport, and Jennifer Rhue, Spokane; three 
granddaughters; a sister, Margaret Skoko, Portland; a niece and three nephews.

     Graveside funeral services were Tuesday at The Dalles IOOF Cemetery, with 
the Rev. Chris Kramer officiating.

     Smith Callaway Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
