     Raymond “Ray” Lee Rhodes, 65, a resident of The Dalles and former 
resident of Klickitat, Wash., died at his home on Monday, June 19, 2006.

     He was born Aug. 30, 1940 in Goldendale, the older of two children, to 
Lloyd Lee and Juanita Gladys (Reed) Rhodes.

     He grew up all over the United States. He married Linda Arlene Strode on 
June 4, 1973 in Tacoma, Wash., moving many times until they settled in The 
Dalles in 1989.

     He enjoyed playing records, tapes, and CDs, going to Community Meals and 
attending the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

     He is survived by his wife, Linda Rhodes, The Dalles; and his Aunt Reah 
Thompson, Colville, Wash. He was preceded in death by his younger brother, 
Ralph D. England on Feb. 22, 1999 and by his parents.

     Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, June 25, at The 
Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor David Ballard officiating. Spencer, 
Libby & Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements.

     Memorials may be made to Home at Last Animal Shelter, 200 River Road, The 
Dalles, OR 97058.
