The Dalles Weekly Reminder, December 29, 1983
     Lawrence F. Reeves, 80, a resident of The Dalles since 1968, died Dec. 21 
at the hospital.
     He was born April 20, 1903 in Oden, Ill.
     He was a public relations officer for a savings and loan company in 
California until his retirement.
     Survivors include his wife, Josephine R., The Dalles; two sons, Lawrence 
(Larry) F. Reeves, Jr., Gresham, and Grant M. Reeves, Winston; two brothers, 
David V., Parris, Calif., and Thomas A., Lancaster, N.Y.; four sisters, 
Dorothy Gordon, Lancaster, Calif.; Helen Lapp, Llano, Calif.; Florence Heppe, 
Los Angeles; and Virginia Bunting, Mesa, Ariz.; four grandhildren and one 
great-grandchild.
     Private family services were Friday at Smith Callaway Chapel with the 
Rev. Thornton Gapen officiating.  Private burial services followed at The 
Dalles IOOF Cemetery.
