The Dalles Chronicle, October 20, 2003
    Lee Dennis Reed, 62, The Dalles, died at a local care facility on Friday, 
Oct. 10, 2003.
     He was born Feb. 28, 1941, in Bend, the second of three boys to Dennis 
Dane and Elna (Lester) Reed.
     The family moved to Dufur in 1944 and he was raised in Dufur.
     Mr. Reed lived in the Dufur area and in the late ’60s moved to Wyoming, 
working in the timber industry.
     He enjoyed various outdoor activities. He moved back to The Dalles in the 
early ’90s.
     Mr. Reed is survived by his daughter, Kayci Caldwell, The Dalles; two 
brothers and spouses, Eldon and Ber Reed, Dufur; Curt and Jane Reed, 
Kremmling, Colo., and many friends.
     A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Dufur Pastime 
Saloon and Restaurant, 25 S. Heimrich St., Dufur, on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at 6 
p.m.
Private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory with Spencer, 
Libby and Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
