The Dalles Weekly Reminder, November 11, 1983
     Nathan James Re, 77, a resident of The Dalles area since 1910, died Nov. 
3 at the local hospital.
     He was born Dec. 24, 1904 in Italy.
     Mr. Re was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Dufur.
     Survivors include his wife, Celene, Dufur; two sons, James and Daniel, 
both of Dufur; two daughters, Mrs. Bill (Joan) Thomas, Dufur, and Mrs. Mike 
(Norma) Kennedy, The Dalles; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a 
brother, John Re, Salem.
     Recitation of the rosary was Sunday at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral 
Home.  Mass of Christian Burial was Monday at St. Peter Catholic Church in The 
Dalles.  Burial followed at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery.
