Albin Walter Raszler, 61, The Dalles, died at his home on July 26, 1995.

He was born Sept. 27, 1933, in Beulah, ND, the third of five children to David 
and Christina (Schupp) Raszler.  He grew up in Beulah, and after his schooling 
he worked on ranches in the area.

He served in the US Army from Nov. 15, 1956 to Sept. 11, 1958, then returned 
to Beulah to cattle ranch until moving to Oregon in 1962.  He settled in The 
Dalles and started working at the post office in March 1970.  He recently 
received his 30-year government employee pin.

He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and Eagles Lodge, and he enjoyed 
his family and farm.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice Jane (Wiedrich) Raszler, whom he married 
Oct. 18, 1956, in Beulah; his children and their spouses:  Vickie and Mike 
Young, Mosier, and Tim and Collette Raszler, Portland; four grandchildren; 
three sisters; Delores Zaske, Bismarck, ND; Wilma Bauer, Salem; and Edna 
Raszler, Montana.

Viewing visitation was at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home on July 28 and 
29.  Services were at Zion Lutheran Church on July 29, Pastor Stan Rosengren 
officiating.  Interment was in Parklawn Cemetery.

Memorials:  Zion Lutheran Church Trust Fund or Hospice of the Gorge, in care 
of the funeral home.
