The Dalles Chronicle, October 4, 2004
     Daniel Duane Pounds, 43, a resident of The Dalles, died at a local 
hospital Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004.
     He was born Oct. 28, 1960, in Oakland, Calif., the second of three 
children to Gaylord DeForrest and Barbara Jean (Whitecotton) Pounds. He grew 
up in California, Hawaii, Washington, Nevada, Texas and finally settled in The 
Dalles.
     He loved his kids and family and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
     He is survived by three children, Danyell (Pounds) Wilson; Michon 
(Pounds) Wilson and Dennis Pounds, all of The Dalles; two stepsons, Joshua 
Wilson, and Anthony Campbell; grandchildren, Maria Garcia, Edwid and Amylia 
Wilson; Sohayla Casbis; step-grandchildren, Tailor Peterson, and Gavin Wilson; 
his mother, Barbara Pounds; his brother, Vernon Pounds; his sister, Katherine 
Pounds; nieces, Stephanie Dousay, and Rebecca Dousay; great-nephews, Loren 
Shupe, and Zakary Tackett; ex-wives, Toni Dousay, and Sally Claire and many 
friends. 
     Private family services will be held at a later date. Private cremation 
was held at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory with Spencer, Libby and Powell 
Funeral Home in care of arrangements. 
     Memorial contributions may be made to Daniel Pounds Burial Fund at US 
Bank in The Dalles.
