She was born in a log cabin in Ione, Wash. on Sept. 30, 1909. She met Ray Blaine Potter on July 3, 1928 and they were married May 31, 1931. They moved to Hines in 1935 and lived there until moving to Dufur in 1947, where they lived until his death in 1991. She had recently moved to Flagstone Retirement Community in The Dalles. She had been active in the Order of the Eastern Star, Rebekahs, and the Dufur Garden Club. Survivors include her sons, Donald Potter of Denver, Colo. and Gary Potter of John Day, and her daughter Yvonne Lindhorst of West Linn, 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at Oddfellows Threemile Cemetery (formerly Parklawn Cemetery) at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003 with Asa Jenson presiding. A remembrance gathering will follow at 2 p.m. at the Dufur Methodist church for all who wish to attend. Arrangements are by Columbia Cremation & Burial.
