The Dalles Weekly Reminder, June 14, 1984
     John Frederick Peterson, 76, died June 12 at Tigard after a long 
illness.  He was a native of The Dalles.

     He was born in The Dalles on Dec. 17, 1917.

     Survivors include his wife, Irene, and a step-son, Jerry Light, both of 
Tigard; two grandsons; three brothers, Francis M., Portland; Leslie E., The 
Dalles; and Ernest H., Canby.

     Mr. Peterson had lived in the Portland area for many years.  No funeral 
service was held at his request.
