She was born May 26, 1937 in Yakima, Wash., an only child to Rudolph Monty and Mary Marguerite (Stirnweis) Ferry. She spent her childhood overseas, was raised in California, and also attended The Dalles Schools. She married Henry Ronald Peck on June 7, 1955 in Stevenson. They lived in Parkdale; Chula Vistas, Calif.; Moler, Idaho; Hood River; Rowena; Deschutes Park; Enterprise and then moved to Moro in 1972. When they lived in Hood River she worked at the cannery for eight years until it closed. After it closed she went to work for Stadelman’s Fruit in The Dalles and worked as the head cook at the Sherman County High School in Moro from 1981 to 1986. She enjoyed genealogy, crocheting and knitting. She is survived by her husband; her daughter, Mary Louene DiPaolo and her husband, Robert, and their daughters, Heather and Nicole, Omaha, Neb.; her son, John Russell Peck and his wife, Susan, and their daughter, Michelle, stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base near Spokane. Private cremation was held at The Dalles Winquatt Crematory with Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements. Her ashes will be spread near Moler, Idaho as she requested.
