The Dalles Weekly Reminder, February 19, 1982
     Paul C. Peck, 78, a resident of Wasco County since 1926, and Maupin since 
1940, died Feb. 13 in a Portland hospital.
     He was born July 7, 1903 at Calico Rock, Ark.
     Mr. Peck was a cattle rancher and wheat grower.
     Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nina Peck, Maupin; two sons, Paul C. 
Peck Jr., Sherwood and David Daniel Peck, Great Falls, Mont.; a sister, Esther 
Cantrell, Calico Rock; five grandchildren, Jon Nicholas Peck, Jerilynn Eloise 
Peck, Mike Oliszewski, Dan Dickey, Robin Dickey, and several nieces and 
nephews.
     Funeral services were Feb. 16 at the Maupin Community Evangelical Church 
with the Rev. Delbert W. Dow officiating.  Burial followed in the Tygh Valley 
IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Smith Callaway Chapel.
     Pallbearers were William and Lynn Hunt, Raymond Richmond, Jim Kennedy, 
Larry Ashley and Tim Morelli.
     Memorials are suggested to favorite charities.
