The Dalles Weekly Reminder, December 8, 1984
     Lula E. Paullus, 99, died at a local nursing home Thursday, Nov. 29.  She 
lived in The Dalles for the last 16 years.

     Mrs. Paullus was born April 23, 1885 in Carroll, Mo.  She moved to Oregon 
in 1907.  She lived in Oregon most of her life except 14 years in Spokane, 
Wash.

     She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ray (Irma) Matthew, The Dalles, two 
grandsons and several nieces and nephews.

     Private family funeral services have been held.  Mausoleum burial 
followed at Portland Memorial.  Smith Callaway was in charge of arrangements.
