She was born Sept. 18, 1939 in Brainerd, Minn., the second of five children to Ervin Lester and Stella Nellie (Charneski) Wetherbee. The family moved to Pilot Rock in 1949 and moved to Dufur in 1951. She attended Dufur schools and graduated from Dufur High School in 1957. She married Warren (Bill) William Parke on June 10, 1961 in Dufur. She worked at the Dufur Café, Dufur Pastime & Stadleman’s Fruit Company. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, hunting, fishing and playing casino games. She is survived by her husband, Bill Parke, Dufur; her son, William Parke and his wife, Nikki, Dufur; her daughter, Terri Dorran and her husband, Dan, Hermiston; her sister, Wanda Lucas, Hood River; her brother, Ervin Wetherbee Jr., Blaine, Wash.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ray Wetherbee, and her sister, Jean Clarke. Memorial services will be held at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 28, with Asa Jenson officiating. Private inurnment will be held at Threemile Road Odd Fellows Cemetery (formerly known as Parklawn Cemetery). Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of The Gorge, 751 Myrtle Street, The Dalles, OR 97058 or the Jerri Walker-DePriest Endowment Fund, 802 NE 5th Street, Dufur, OR 97021.
