The Dalles Chronicle, December 30, 2004
     Lila Lee Hoag Osborne, 79, a former resident of Arlington and The Dalles, 
died at a Bend hospital on Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004.
     She was born Aug. 9, 1925, in The Dalles, the oldest of three children to 
Halbert Lee and Ella Lillian (Kirby) Hoag. She was raised and attended schools 
in Arlington, graduating from Arlington High School. She attended 2½ years at 
Oregon State College studying business.
     She married Roy Eugene Osborne in the Blaylock area. She and the children 
lived south of Arlington on a cattle and wheat ranch for many years. She moved 
to The Dalles in 1974 and moved to the La Pine area in 1987.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, quilting, crocheting, 
ceramics, painting and central Oregon.
     She is survived by her twin children, Kay Wart, The Dalles and Jay 
Osborne, Arlington; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, 
James Hoag, Amity; and Don Hoag, La Pine; numerous nieces and nephews.
     Viewing visitation will be held at Smith Callaway Chapel on Tuesday, Jan. 
4, from 2 to 7 p.m.
     Graveside services will be held at the Arlington Cemetery, at 11 a.m. on 
Wednesday, Jan. 5. Smith Callaway Chapel is in care of arrangements.
