The Dalles Weekly Reminder, May 13, 1988
     Ila Coryl Nickell, 84, died at a local nursing home May 1.
     Born Oct. 13, 1903 in Enid, Okla., Mrs. Nickell was a resident of The 
Dalles for the past 12 years.  She was a member of the Church of Christ in The 
Dalles.
     Survivors include three sons, John Nickell, The Dalles; Marion Nickell, 
Stayton; and Fred, Marysville, Calif.; a daughter, Betty Jane Roberts, 
Oroville; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, five brothers and two 
sisters.  Her husband, Otto, preceded her in death in 1980.
     Funeral services were May 5 at the Church of Christ with the Rev. Terry 
Gowen officiating.  Burial was at The Dalles IOOF Cemetery.  Spencer, Libby & 
Powell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
