The Dalles Weekly Reminder, January 30, 1987
Arthur H. Nelson, 87, died at his home in The Dalles Jan. 22.  Formerly of 
Wamic, Mr. Nelson was a resident of The Dalles for two years.

He was born March 28, 1899, in Holyoke, Minn.  He worked floating logs on the 
river in Idaho until 1948, when he moved to Wamic to work as a logger.  He 
retired in 1965 and worked on the Driver Ranch, later moving to The Dalles.  
He was a veteran of World War I and World War II.

He is survived by a niece Debbie Nelson of The Dalles.

No public services were held.  Smith Callaway Chapel was in charge of 
arrangements.
