Miriam Colleen Nahouse, 77, a resident of Silverstone for the last 17 years and a former resident of The Dalles, died in Scotts Mills (Oregon) on November 13, 2002. She was born December 18, 1924 in Los Angeles (California) to Lee and Elva Shirk. She married Lyle Nahouse. He died on September 29, 2002. (She) attended First Baptist Church and enjoyed needle work and sewing. Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Carol and Dave Korgan, Scotts Mills; two brothers, Milton Shirk, Fallbrook, California, and Dean Shirk, Broomfield, Colorado; a grandson, Dan Korgan and his wife, Cyndi, Salem (Oregon); a granddaughter, Cyndi and her husband, Mark Faulkner, Scotts Mills; and great grandchildren, Missouri, Timothy and Nora Faulkner and Colleen, Dillon and Dustin Korgan. Services will be held at a later date. Unger Funeral Chapel of Silverton is in care of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation.
