The Dalles Chronicle, March  24, 2005
     Shirley Jane Mulvaney, 69, former resident of The Dalles, died at a 
hospital in Hermiston on March 22, 2005.
     She was born July 18, 1935, in Conowa, Okla., to Lester and Edith East 
Wolfe.
     She grew up and attended schools in Oklahoma.
     She married James Earl Mulvaney. They moved to Fortuna, Calif. and lived 
there until moving to The Dalles in 1966. They later divorced and she went to 
work at Mid-Columbia Medical Center as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She 
later worked as a CNA at Columbia Basin Nursing Home in The Dalles until she 
retired in 1995.
     She then moved to Hermiston to be near her daughter, where she has lived 
since.
     She had attended Calvary Baptist Church in The Dalles.
     She enjoyed music, dancing, long walks, gardening and loved playing with 
her grandchildren.
     Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Littlefield and her husband, Jim, 
Hermiston; sons, Richard Wolfe and his wife, Christy, Vancouver, Wash.; Jimmie 
Mulvaney and his wife, Val, The Dalles; Johnnie Mulvaney and his wife, Laura, 
Mosier; four sisters, two brothers, 17 grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren.
     She was preceded in death by her parents.
     Graveside funeral services will be Saturday, March 26, at 10 a.m. at 
Hermiston Cemetery.
     Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 1311 NW 21st Ave., 
Portland, OR 97209.
     Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in care of arrangements.
