He was born Nov. 21, 1945, in Bremerton, Wash., the only child to Tom and Zella Zoe (Carroll) Morris. He was raised in the Hood River Valley and graduated from WyEast High School. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea and then returned to the Hood River and Hermiston areas for several years. He worked numerous jobs throughout the United State and for the last 15 years was a long haul truck driver. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, playing his guitar and singing country music. He is survived by a son, Ken Morris, now serving in the Iraq War; two daughters, Tammy Ackley and Michelle Grey, both of Apple Valley, Calif.; seven grandchildren; half brothers and half sisters including, Susan and her husband, Doug Powell, The Dalles, and Charles Ponder and his wife, Lynette, Grants Pass; and numerous nieces and nephews. No public funeral services will be held. Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral is in care of arrangements.
