The Dalles Chronicle, May 26, 2006
     Edward G. Morris, 90, a resident of Dallesport, died on May 21, 2006 at 
his home.
     He was born May 5, 1916 in Sara, Wash., to George and Maud Davy Morris.
     He was in the Army Air Force from 1941 to 1945. He served in England, 
Africa and Italy.
     He married Denise Mattson, daughter of Ed and Grace Davenport Mattson on 
Nov. 30, 1946 at Goldendale. He farmed at Sundale with Ed Mattson and R. J. 
Wheelhouse.
     He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Denise Morris of Dallesport; a 
brother, George Morris, White Salmon; children Garry Morris, Keith Morris, 
Jacqueline Morris, Elizabeth Klobas, David Morris, William Morris, Terry 
Morris and Laura Sperry; 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous 
nieces and nephews.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bruce and Marvin; and 
sisters Grace Smith, Bertha Kelley, Jackie Humphreys, Hazel Warner and Mildred 
Riley.
     Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 3, at 11 a.m. at the 
Assembly of God Church in Goldendale. Burial will be at the Centerville 
Cemetery.
     Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Gorge, 751 Myrtle St., The 
Dalles, OR 97058.
