The Dalles Weekly Reminder, September 25, 1987
Walter Lester Morast, 77, died in The Dalles Sept. 17 at the hospital.  He 
lived in The Dalles all his life

Mr. Morast was born Jan. 5, 1910 in The Dalles.  He was a 1930 graduate of The 
Dalles High, and grew cherries on Threemile for 46 years.   He was a realtor 
from 1950 to 1970 and a member of the Methodist Church, The Old Wasco Pioneer 
Association and Elks Lodge 303.

He is survived by his wife, Lura, who he married in Dufur in 1937; two 
daughters, Kaye Staudenraus of McMinnville and Jo Kykendall of Fairbanks; two 
sisters; six grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to any charity.  Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral 
Home was in charge of arrangements.
