The Dalles Chronicle, December 21, 2005
     Lester Norman Moen, 78, died at the Oregon Veterans Home in The Dalles on 
Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005.
     He was born April 8, 1927 in Doty, Wash.
     He was a longtime resident of Boardman. He worked as a carpenter building 
homes, and was a veteran of World War II.
     He enjoyed traveling to the coast.
     He married his wife, Carol M. Moen, on July 29, 1966 in Long Beach, Wash. 
She died on Oct. 28, 2003.
     He is survived by a stepson, Bill Getz and his wife, Saundra, The Dalles; 
grandsons, Stan Getz and his wife, Dena, Pendleton; Steve Getz and his wife, 
Imelda, Hood River; Scott Getz and his wife, Kim, Benton, Ky; granddaughters 
Tra and Andrea Cimmiyotti; great grandchildren, Shelby and Cadie Getz, 
Pendleton; Matt, Curtis and Dillon Getz, Eric and Branden Wimber, all of Hood 
River.
     Memorial services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 22, at 11 a.m. at the 
Burns Mortuary Chapel in Hermiston. Burial of cremains will follow in the 
Riverview Cemetery in Boardman.
     Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in care of arraignments.
