The Dalles Weekly Reminder, April 15, 1988
     Homer Robert Mitchell, 83, died at his home in The Dalles April 7.  He 
was a resident here for the last two years, formerly of Klickitat.
     Mr. Mitchell was born Nov. 4, 1904, in Joplin, Mo.  He worked in the 
lumber industry.
     He is survived by his wife, Ida May of The Dalles, to whom he was married 
in 1949; two sons, Irvin of Klickitat and Franklin of New Zealand; a daughter, 
Odesa Mitchell of Portland; a stepdaughter, Sonia Moon of Klickitat; four 
grandchildren.
     No public funeral service was held.  Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral 
Home is in charge of arrangements.
