Wakley iwakley@msn.com December 5, 2006, 8:12 pm The Dalles Weekly Reminder, August 16, 1984 Amos I. Miner, 68, died Aug. 6, at Mid-Columbia Medical Center. He resided in The Dalles since 1957. He was born Dec. 17, 1915 in Canorado, Kan. Mr. Miner was the owner and operator of Mid-Columbia Radiator Shop until he retired in 1981. He was a charter member of the Moose Lodge in The Dalles and was also a member of the Eagles Lodge here. He is survived by his wife, Mildred J., The Dalles; a daughter, Judy McKinney, Ladner, B. C., Canada; two sons, Dennis, Skamania, Wash.; and Mark, Mosier; grandchildren, Steve and Amy McKinney; Marion, Aaron, Corey and Angela Miner; four brothers, Albert, Sacramento; Fred, Warden, Wash.; Wallace, Lebanon, and Melvin, Sweet Home; a sister, Alta Wright, Lebanon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Friday at Smith Callaway Chapel with the Rev. Thornton Gapen officiating. Burial Friday in the IOOF Cemetery in Lebanon. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
