The Dalles Weekly Reminder, June 25, 1982
     Helen Myrtle Miller, 87, a resident of The Dalles since 1976, and 
formerly a resident of Seaside and Portland, died June 16 at a local nursing 
home.

     She was born Sept. 13, 1894 in Elmira, N.Y.

     Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Bud (Beth) Philippi, Arlington; a 
grandson, Blair Philippi, Boardman; a granddaughter, Sandi Maki, Eugene, and 
four great-grandchildren.  Her husband, Jacob Miller, died in 1974.

     Funeral services were Saturday at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home 
with the Rev. James Wilson officiating.  Private burial services followed at 
Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.

     Memorials are suggested to the Valley Vista Nursing Home Memorial Fund.
