The Dalles Weekly Reminder, May 7, 1982
     Jesse Peter Miller, 82, a resident of The Dalles since 1904, died April 
30 at the local hospital.
     He was born Jan. 15, 1900 in Morning Sun, Iowa.
     Mr. Miller was a rancher in the Fivemile area for most of his life.
     Survivors include his son, Joe W. Miller, The Dalles; three grandsons, 
Sam Miller, Moro, and John and Jess T. Miller, both of The Dalles; two 
granddaughters, Marilyn Miller, Portland, and Linda Wilson, The Dalles; two 
great-grandsons, Marshall Waddington, The Dalles, and Justin David Miller, 
Moro, and a sister, Bessie Smith, Dayton.  His wife, Ruth Marie Miller died in 
1981, and a son, John W., died in 1977.
     Funeral services were Tuesday at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home, 
followed by burial at The Dalles IOOF Cemetery.
     Memorials are suggested to the Oregon Kidney Association.
