She was born August 26, 1975 in The Dalles. She graduated from Auburn High school in Washington. She attended Green River Community College and later lived in Spokane (Washington). She and her mother started a western tack and apparel business in 1998 in Salem (Oregon). She enjoyed meeting new people, the travel and becoming acquainted with the rodeo community and loved teddy bears. Survivors include her parents, Steve and Donna (Camargo) Melzer, Aumsville; brother and sister-in-law, Joshua and Jamie Melzer, Salem, and niece and nephews, Kaylie and Karson, also of Salem; grandfather, Ernie Camargo, Council, Idaho; grandmother, Anna Bolin, Aumsville; grandparents, Wayne and Myrna Melzer, Moro (Oregon); aunts and uncles including Debbie and John Brown, Moro; Elaine and Dan Richelderfer, Wasco (Oregon), and Ken and Arla Melzer, Moro; cousins and second cousins; special friend, Ernie Stock; and many close friends. She was preceded in death by grandmother, Marge Camargo, and Nana, Ev Melzer. A graveside service was held in Sunrise Cemetery in Moro on Saturday and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 21, at 1 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Shaw (Oregon). Memorials may be made either to Doernbecker's Children's Hospital or the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund. Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service is in care of arrangements.
