The Dalles Chronicle, July 12, 1973
Rt. Rev. Msgr. Michael J. McMahon, widely known clergyman in The Dalles for 
many years, born April 19, 1902 at Beale Ballybunion County Kerry, Ireland, 
passed away at a local Nursing Home Tuesday at age 71.  

Survived by 2 brothers, Henry and Terrence McMahon both of Ireland; 4 sisters, 
Margaret McMahon of San Francisco, Elizabeth O'Connell and Delia Webb both of 
San Francisco and Nora O'Connor of Oakland; 1 sister Mary O'Connell preceded 
him in death.  

The Rosary will be recited Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Catholic 
Church.  Requiem Concelebrated Mass will be offered at 11 a.m. Friday at the 
Church with His Excellency, the Most Rev. Thomas J. Connolly, D.D., Bishop of 
the Baker Diocese, the principal concelebrant.  Interment St. Peter's Catholic 
Cemetery.
