Surnames: May, Pourron, Jones, Brumley, Koch, Wright Frank Kenneth May, 94, a resident of Dufur (Oregon), died at a local hospital on Sunday, May 11, 2003. He was born April 19, 1909, in Moro (Oregon), the fifth of seven children to Andrew William and Josephine (Pourron) May. He grew up and went to school in the Moro area. He married Blodwen Jones on June 28, 1939, in Dufur and they lived in the Dufur area where he worked in logging and later farmed until his retirement. He was a member of the Oregon Wheat League, Oregon Cattlemen's Association, Elk's Lodge, Masonic Lodge, Airstream Caravan Club, Wasco County Pioneers Association and the Dufur Methodist Church. He liked to travel and spend his winter months in Yuma, Arizona. He is survived by Blodwen May, his wife of 63 years, Dufur; his ton and wife, Thomas W. and Linda May, The Dalles; grandchildren and spouses, Tonya and Shawn Brumley, Dufur; Kim and Brian Koch, The Dalles; Michael May, currently serving in the Army in the 101st Airborne in Iraq; great-grandchildren, Brooke and Morgan Brumley; Ethan and Emma Koch, sister-in-law, Vere May and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Louis, Clifford, Clayton, Roy; two sisters, Flora Wright and Dora May. Viewing and visitation will be held at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home on Sunday, May 18, from 2 to 5 p.m. and on Monday morning from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Private entombment will be held at The Dalles IOOF Mausoleum with memorial services following at the Dufur Methodist Church at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 19. Reverend Jerry Holland will officiate. Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
