The Dalles Weekly Reminder, August 9, 1984
Doris E. Maurer, 78, died in Portland, August 4.  She was a longtime resident 
of this area.

She was born Oct. 2, 1905 at Ritzville, Wash.

She worked as a legal secretary for many years and was a member of Calvary 
Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Marilee Lazarus, Athens, Greece; granddaughters, 
Lisa Driver Dineen, Vancouver, Wash.; Holly Driver, Corvallis, and Evyenia 
Lazarus, Athens; grandsons, Bill Driver, Portland; Spyros Lazarus, Athens, and 
Don Dineen, Vancouver, Wash.; two great-grandchildren, Jessica and Samuel 
Driver, both of Portland; and son-in-laws, W. Lyle Driver, Wamic, and 
Evangelos S. Lazarus, Athens.

Funeral services were Tuesday at Smith Callaway Chapel with the Rev. Egerton 
C. Long officiating.  Private burial services followed at The Dalles IOOF 
Cemetery.
