    Michael Duane Matson, 35, a former resident of The Dalles, died in San Diego,
California on October 10, 2002 after a struggle with AIDS.
    He was born February 20, 1967 in Fargo, North Dakota.
    Survivors are his parents, Rich and Nancy Campbell, Palmdale, California;
and Don and Faye Matson of St. Cloud, Minnesota; a brother, Matthew Matson, 
Shakope, Minnesota; sisters, Carrie Campbell, Lancaster, California and 
Cammie Szabo, Palmdale; his grandmother, Lola Matson, Colorado Springs, Colorado
and grandfather Oscar D. Olson, Mapleton, North Dakota.
    A public memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 27, at 6 p.m. at 
Life in Christ Center, 3095 Cherry Heights Road in The Dalles.
