The Dalles Weekly Reminder, March 19, 1982
     Hugh S. Mathieson, 83, a resident of The Dalles since 1965, died March 14 
at his home.
     He was born Feb. 2, 1899, in Rufus and lived his entire life in the Wasco 
and Sherman County areas.
     Mr. Mathieson was a member of the Dufur Christian Church, and the Odd 
Fellows Lodge in The Dalles.
     Survivors include three daughters, Geraldine Goodin, San Jose, Calif.; 
Helen Parke, The Dalles, and Toni Kernaghan, Victoria, Australia; nine 
grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, John Mathieson, 
Vancouver, Wash.; two sisters, Margaret Saling, The Dalles, and Jean Thompson, 
Aloha; and several nieces and nephews.
     Graveside funeral services were March 17, at The Dalles IOOF Cemetery.  
Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
