The Dalles Weekly Reminder, December 8, 1983
     Carol Marsh, 54, a resident of Odell, died Dec. 4 of cancer at her home.
     She was born May 25, 1929 in The Dalles.
     Mrs. Marsh grew up in Grass Valley, attended schools in Sherman County 
and then went to Oregon State University.
     She married Don Marsh Dec. 23, 1949 in The Dalles.
     Mrs. Marsh was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority, the Odell Garden 
Club, and Soroptimist Club and was a member of the Hood River County Fair 
Board.
     She was also active in many other groups and gave time to local and area 
issues, including preservation of the Columbia Gorge.
     She worked as a checker at Brookside Market and Keil's Market in the 
Odell area.
     Survivors include her husband, Donald, Odell; two sons, Rick, Odell; and 
Philip, Portland; her parents, in The Dalles; a brother, Wendell Clodfelter, 
Grass Valley; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
     Funeral services were Tuesday at Riverside Community Church in Hood River 
with the Rev. Linda Perry officiating.  Private burial services followed.
     Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the Odell 
Methodist Church.
     Anderson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
