Wakley iwakley@msn.com and June 23, 2006, 2:23 pm The Dalles Weekly Reminder, October 20, 1983 Jesse (Bud) Marcum, 61, a resident of Tygh Valley since 1951, died Monday at Mountain Fir Lumber Co. of natural causes while at work. He was born June 5, 1911, in Chadron, Utah. Mr. Marcum served in World War II as a member of the Army Air Corps and was a link trainer instructor. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 135 in Wamic. He also was head saw filer at the mill. Survivors include his wife, Beverly, whom he married in Wenatchee, Wash., on Dec. 6, 1943; a son, Dan, Tygh Valley; three daughters, Sandra LaFever, Kennewick, Wash., and Colleen Anderson and Darlene Ware, both of Tygh Valley; six grandchildren and a sister, Genevieve Paulson, Aquanga, Calif. Graveside funeral services were today at The Dalles IOOF Cemetery with Pastor Asa Jenson officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Southern Wasco County Ambulance Fund. Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
