The Dalles Weekly Reminder,  June 5, 1987
     Lawrence Henry Malcolm, 95, died at a local nursing home May 29.  He was 
a resident of The Dalles since 1921.
     Mr. Malcolm was born in Echo, Ore., Sept. 8, 1891.  He served in the U.S. 
Army during World War I, later moving to The Dalles, where he operated an 
orchard.  He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, the VFW and the 
Tyee Mineralites.
     Mr. Malcolm is survived by four grandchildren, Steven and Marty Malcolm 
of The Dalles, Randy Malcolm of Lyle and Debbie Harth of The Dalles; nine 
great-grandchildren.  His wife, Lula May Malcolm preceded him in death in 1974.
     Funeral services were held at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home, 
followed by burial at The Dalles IOOF Cemetery.
