The Dalles Weekly Reminder, March 27, 1987
     Eleanor Rose Magill, 59, died in a nursing home here March 21.  She was a 
resident of The Dalles since 1974.
     Mrs. Magill was born Aug. 28, 1927, in Klamath Falls.  She was a member 
of the United Pentecostal Church in The Dalles.  She worked at Columbia Basin 
Nursing Home for several years and later at the Oregon Motor Motel for six 
years.
     She is survived by her husband, Stanley, of The Dalles, whom she married 
in 1946; two sons, Leland Magill of Gresham and Leon Magill of Pendleton; a 
daughter, Marlene Shaw, Redland; eight grandchildren; two brothers; a sister.
     Funeral services were held at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home 
officiated by the Rev. James Denny.  Burial followed at the Parklawn 
Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
