The Dalles Weekly Reminder, May 22, 1987
Edith Marie Lyons, 91, died in The Dalles May 15.  She was a resident of The 
Dalles for 17 years, formerly of Sherman County.

Mrs. Lyons was born Aug. 13, 1895, in Johnson City, Tenn.  She was a member of 
Kent Baptist Church.

She is survived by four daughters, May Lou Earl of Eugene, Phoebe McKay and 
Sammie Watkins, both of Kent and Edna Fraley of The Dalles; 14 grandchildren; 
32 great grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home with the 
Rev. Fred Sheldon officiating.  Interment was the Kent Cemetery.  Memorials 
may be made to Oregon Heart Fund or the Diabetes Association.
