Gregory Lee Loudd, 48, a resident of The Dalles, died Wednesday, October 16, 2002 at his home after a battle with cancer. He was born August 15, 1954 in Sunnyside, Washington, to Curtis Brady and Rosa Lee (Butler) Loudd and moved as a preschooler to The Dalles, where he grew up. He graduated from Wahtonka High School in the class of 1972, and later worked at Martin Marietta Aluminum before going to work for Allied Waste Transportation in Roosevelt, Washington, as a driver and equipment operator. He was a member of the Aerospace Machinists Industrial District Lodge No. 751. He married Victoria Ann Voeller in The Dalles in June of this year. He enjoyed mechanical tinkering, fixit projects, collecting model cars, and music. He played the saxophone as a child and particularly loved the music of James Brown. His first love was his family. He is survived by his wife, Vickie, and his children; sons Shawn and his wife Debbie Moore, Vancouver (Washington), and Nicholas Loudd, The Dalles; and daughters Tonya and her husband, Tom Marick, and Tiffany Loudd, The Dalles; brother Richard and his wife, Delois Loudd, Vancouver and sister Pat Arnold, Vancouver; four grandchildren; Brandon Isaac, Ashley and Jacob and a nephew Douglas Stamp in addition to two nieces and several cousins. At his request there will be no public services; the family will observe private ceremonies of remembrance in conjunction with the disposition of his ashes at the Oregon coast.
