Henry Harmon Locy Surnames: Locy, Divers, Erben, Potter, Miller, Russell, Pollman, Goeloe, Williams, Larson, Walters, Kusler Henry "Hank" Harmon Locy, 76, a resident of The Dalles, died at his home on Sunday, January 5, 2003. He was born on January 7, 1926, in Goldendale (Washington) to Stan Forrest and Ethel (Divers) Locy. He grew up in The Dalles, where he graduated from The Dalles High School in 1944. During his last two years as a student, he lived and volunteered at The Dalles Fire Department. After high school he worked for Stipe's Furniture, First National Bank and Inland Navigation Company. He also served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Upon returning to The Dalles after the war, he married JoAnn Erben on October 15, 1949. After the birth of Deborah and Scott, the family moved to California in 1955, where he worked and retired from E.L. Reitz Wholesale Lumber Co. He moved back to the Northwest in 1998, where he married his high school sweetheart, Evelyn West Russell Locy on January 30, 1999. He was a life long member of the Elks Lodge No 2243 and associate member of Lodge No. 303. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, The Dalles; his children, Deborah Potter and her husband, Monte, Crystal Beach, Texas; Scott Locy and Dolores Miller, Beaverton (Oregon); Jeff Locy, San Diego, California; Todd Locy and wife, Diana, Paw Paw, Illinois; stepchildren, Dan Russell and Steve and Cindy Russell, all of The Dalles; Darlene and John Pollman, Randale, Washington; grandchildren, Carri Ann Goeloe and Chad Williams; Joanna Locy, Zacharia Larson, Rory Locy, Jake Larson and Cody Locy; great grandchildren, Summer and Heidi Goeloe and Brittany Walters, his older brother, Wayne "Snowball" Locy and wife, Ruth, Vancouver (Washington) his sister, Luden Kusler and husband, Dick, American Falls, Idaho; and sister-in-law Marilyn Locy, Argusville, North Dakota. He was preceded in death by his younger brother, James "Jim" Locy. Private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory with Smith Callaway Chapel in care of arrangements. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church at a later date. Remembrances may be made to Hospice of the Gorge, 751 Myrtle Street, The Dalles, Oregon 97058 or the Elks Kasey Eye Clinic.
