She was born in The Dalles on October 18, 1932, to Floyd and Ethel (Ulrich) Tibbets and grew up here. Following her graduation from The Dalles High School in 1950, she married Laverne P. "Bud" Lindhorst in The Dalles and they ranched in this area for a number of years; they were later divorced. She was a homemaker and mother and loved horseback riding, playing cards and Bingo, and spending time with her children. She had attended the Dufur (Oregon) Christian Church. Survivors include her children and their families: Ruth and her husband, Cliff Farrier, Portland; Ron Lindhorst and his wife, Tiffany, Spokane (Washington) Don Lindhorst, Portland; Diane Lindhorst, The Dalles; and Patti Lindhorst, San Francisco (California); her brothers and sisters: Don Tibbets, The Dalles; Ben Tibbets, Wamic (Oregon); Sally Graff and Ruth Fulton, The Dalles; and Rita Sandel, Wasco (Oregon); and numerous nieces and nephews. And also surviving Is her former husband Bud Lindhorst of The Dalles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Ethel Tibbets. Graveside services will be held at Parklawn Cemetery on Threemile Road on Wednesday, October 16, at 2:30 p.m., Ben Tibbets presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shrine Hospital for Children, 3101 S W Sam Jackson Park Road, Portland, Oregon 97239. Arrangements are by Columbia Cremation & Burial.
