Wakley iwakley@msn.com and August 2, 2006, 1:24 am The Dalles Weekly Reminder, September 13, 1984 Warren LeRoy Leary, 59, died Sept. 4 at his home in Wishram where he lived the last 41 years. He was born Jan. 21, 1925 in Duluth, Minn. Mr. Leary served in the U.S. Army in World War II and worked as a brakeman for Burlington Northern Railroad until he retired for health reasons. He was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Goldendale, Wash. Survivors include his wife, Margaret, in Wishram; a son, Scott, The Dalles; a daughter, Dena Loeffler, The Dalles; a granddaughter, Jaime Loeffler, The Dalles; a brother, Bruce Leary, San Diego, and three half- brothers, Richard Goodman, Albequerque, N.M.; James Goodman, Minot, N.D.; and Robert Goodman, Gainsville, Fla. Graveside services were Thursday at The Dalles IOOF Cemetery with Dr. James Hazlett officiating. Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
