The Dalles Weekly Reminder, July 24, 1987
Arthur J. Lay, 78, died July 16 in Mosier.  He was a resident of The Dalles 
for 20 years.

Mr. Lay was born Aug. 2, 1908 in Oklahoma.  He was a foreman on the 
construction of The Dalles dam and the Bonneville Dam.  His wife, Eva, 
preceded him in death in 1985.

He is survived by a son, Troy Lay of Hood River; three grandsons; one 
granddaughter; eight-grandchildren.

Private memorial services were held at the Idlewilde Cemetery.  Smith Callaway 
Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
