Wakley iwakley@msn.com December 18, 2006, 1:44 am The Dalles Weekly Reminder, December 13, 1984 Robert T. Lawson, 54, died at Mid-Columbia Medical Center, Dec. 7. He resided in The Dalles since 1954. He was born Oct. 8, 1930 in Middleton, Idaho. He served in the U.S. Army for four years during the Korean conflict. He moved to The Dalles and worked on the construction of Harvey Aluminum and then continued to work in production at the plant for 25 years. He was a member of The Dalles Eagle Lodge, the Wasco County Sheriff's Reserve and was a former member of the National Guard. Survivors include his wife, Annetta Lawson, The Dalles; two sons, Thomas, St. Helens, and Terry, Goldendale, Wash.; four grandchildren, Rebecca, Scott, Melissa and Joshua; his father, Dallas Lawson, Ririe, Idaho; two brothers, Dallas, The Dalles, and Jack Middleton; a sister, Lois DuPree, Battleground, Wash., and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were Monday at The Dalles IOOF Cemetery with the Rev. Greg Howell officiating. Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
