The Dalles Chronicle, July 18,   2006
     Lester L. Latham, 66, a resident of Kalama, Wash. and a former resident 
of The Dalles died July 7, 2006. 

     He was born Jan. 30, 1940, in Worland, Wyo. to Leland L. Latham and Mary 
E. (Dougherty) Latham. 

     He lived in The Dalles and in Woodland, Wash. before moving to Kalama, 
where he lived the last four years. 

     He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Local 701.

     He is preceded in death by his mother, father, brother Tom Latham and 
wife, Barbara.

     He is survived by his four sons; John Latham and wife Katie, Russell 
Latham and wife Amy, Tim Latham and wife Patty, and Keith Latham; his step 
mother Delma Latham; brothers Clark and Ken Latham, and nine grandchildren.

     Private services will be held at a later date.
