Larsen, 93, a former resident of The Dalles, died Sept. 26, 2004 in Kirkland, Wash. She was born Oct. 11, 1910 in Boyd to Willard and Agnes Adkisson. She graduated from The Dalles High School in 1929. She married Melvin Larsen on Dec. 26, 1930. They spent their young married life in The Dalles where they had two daughters, Carol and Barbara. They spent two years in Toppenish, Wash., where he owned his own business. During World War II the family resided in the Tri-Cities while he was in the Navy serving in the Pacific. In 1947 they purchased a home on Lake Washington in Juanita and remained there the rest of their lives. She spent years working at the Arts Food Center in Juanita. She was a member of the Kirkland Sons of Norway. She enjoyed traveling and was always ready to go any time and loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughter, Carol and her husband, Pat Biggs, Kirkland; sisters, Verona Coates, Napa, Calif. and Verla Evans, Kenmore, Wash.; brothers, Gene Adkisson, The Dalles; nine grandchildren, 23 great- grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1981, her daughter Barbara in 1984 and a brother, Loren, in 2003. Services were held at Green Funeral Home in Kirkland on Sept. 30.
