The Dalles Weekly Reminder, January 12, 1984
     Mildred L. Landweer, 92, a resident of Fossil since 1979, and a former 
resident of Carson, Calif., died Saturday at Mid-Columbia Medical Center.  

     She was born Feb. 11, 1892 in River Falls, Wis.

     She was a member of Florence, Calif. Baptist Church.

     Survivors include a son, Merten N. Landweer, Fossil; a daughter, Eva 
Bowes, Carson; seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

     Funeral services were today (Thursday) at Fossil Baptist Church with the 
Rev. Fermer Plank officiating.  Private burial followed at Winlock Cemetery in 
Fossil.

      Honorary pallbearers were Glenn, Stephen and Phillip Bowes, Larry and 
Thomas Landweer and Peter Webber.

      Memorials are suggested to the Gilliam County Ambulance Fund, Condon, or 
the Spray Ambulance, Spray.

     Smith Callaway Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
